World Civilizations 1A Unit 4 Complete

Finally, I finished Unit 4 of my World Civilizations class. And that was with a one-day extension because of the PSAT. What's next? Oh, I know, Creative Writing, due two days ago (oops). The grind continues.

PSAT

I took the PSAT this morning. I was sort of disappointed; the questions, at least on the English parts, seemed easy. The math sections were a bit harder, but nothing too difficult. I hope the SAT is a bit more challenging, or our country's standards are even lower than I thought.
It took some doing to figure out what school code to use, though. I am enrolled in one school and took the test at another, which was closer to my house, but the school I am enrolled in has no school code. Eventually, it was decided that I was, for the purposes of the test results, "homeschooled." The results will be sent to my house. [sigh of relief]

World Civilizations is Due Again (Website Status)

Tomorrow is the due date for my next unit of World Civilizations 1A, and I have yet to start. I only hope my taking the PSAT tomorrow won't interfere with the completion of my work.
On the website front, I haven't done any development since yesterday. I am still waiting for comments on my last posting.

High School Course Differences (PS: Google's Coding Errors)

Most courses in high school allow you to resubmit an assignment for additional credit. My AP biology course won't. The teacher even goes so far as to say she said this wasn't possible, but I never found it anywhere. Perhaps she just likes my score the way it is?
In contrast, my creative writing teacher says she'd be happy to have me revise my stories. Go figure. Why must teachers be so different?

PS
Google seems to have allowed a lot of JS errors to creep into its services. Aren't they validating their code?

CSS Help

OK, it's early in this blog's history to be doing this, but I need a fix for another of my websites. I'm redeveloping a site in my free time. The old version was framed, but I'm unframing it for search engine visibility.
And now for the question: Does anyone know of an easy-to-use, CSS-only method of creating a website layout with two columns (one nav and one content)? Please post answers to this question in the comments to this post if you have an idea. Thanks! I'll post on this blog when the new site is up and running.

Reuters' Virtual Reporter

In an amazing twist of events, Reuters, the world-news organization, has dedicated a reporter to covering stories solely about, and concerning, members of Linden Technologies' Second Life online RPG. The link attached to this post goes to the page where this reporter's articles will be posted. The journalist, Adam Pasick, is identified in Second Life as Adam Reuters, signifying his involvement in journalism. His avatar sports a press pass.

Beta Support Spotty

OK, so support for the Blogger beta is not very widespread. Signing up for the "old" version would have been better. Most of the web-based and browser-based tools I have encountered don't support the Blogger beta, and give an error message when I try to log in. Google: Update your Blogger Web Comments extension for Firefox! Other developers: Update your apps/websites to support the new Blogger beta! It will become the norm eventually, and you don't want to be left behind in the dust.

Moving from Windows Live Spaces

Yay! I have Blogger! I need to figure out how to move content over from my Windows Live Space, but I'm very happy to have everything united under one account (Google).
